The Spelling Bee (TSB) is a literacy programme that teaches primary children between ages 7 and 13, how to improve their spelling, increase their vocabulary, learn and understand word concepts and develop English usage which will help them all their lives. 75% of TSB is conducted online and an edition is crowned each year in February with the National Finals, in-person. TSB is a performance-based programme and consists of four graduating stages which are:

• Preliminaries (online)

• Quarter-Finals (online)
• Semi-Finals (online & in-person)
• National Finals (online & in-person)

• A whole new understanding of spelling. 
• Fun videos
• Engaging eBooks
• Weekly activities to try your hands on

Spellers will also gain new skills such as:

• Public speaking
• Vocabularybuilding
• Thinking on their feet
• And many more.

The Spelling Bee will start online, so Spellers will need a PC, laptop or a tablet with good internet connection.

The Spelling Bee 2022/23 will run from February 11, 2022 to February 4, 2023. Below are the four stages and their corresponding costs:

• Preliminaries = GH₵ 210
• Quarter Finals = GH₵ 510
• Semi-Finals: GH₵ 1,020
• National Finals: GH₵ 1,530

Schools and Parents can enroll their Spellers who are between 7-13-year-old or between grade 3 and 7.
